Onyx Solar

The market leader in photovoltaic glass for buildings joins again the most important conference on architecture in America, and it will show its latest product innovations at booth #571, Level #3.

Onyx Solar has developed the first transparent, low-emissivity photovoltaic glass in the market. Our PV glass shows the same mechanical properties as a conventional, architectural glass used in construction. However, in addition, it also generates free and clean energy thanks to the sun. Moreover, its optimized solar factor enhances thermal comfort inside the building; it completely offsets the energy demand for indoor air conditioning; and it drastically reduces the cost of electricity.

This month they are speaking about us in...

We are happy to announce that Onyx Solar is the winner of the Excellent Product Design prize in the Building and Elements category in the German Design Awards!

Solar energy could be the world’s largest source of energy by 2050. According to data from GTM Research and published by the World Economic Forum, the rapid adoption of solar power could mean that its global gigawatt capacity could rival that of nuclear power by the end of 2017.

The road to a more sustainable future is made of solar PV glass. Can you imagine walking on a floor that is generating electricity thanks to the sun to supply a building or the street lights?

To contribute to a multidisciplinary, integrated planning approach by architects, engineers, scientists, manufacturers and the building industry to reduce the energy consumption of buildings is the goal of the Conference on Advanced Building Skins, which attracts 600 participants from over fifty countries.

This week Onyx Solar was at the 33rd European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition, EU PVSEC 2017, which took place in Amsterdam.
