Onyx Solar has supplied its Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaic Glass that has been installed as a Photovoltaic Canopy in the residual water treatment plant, located in the Juan Diaz area, in Panama City, Panama.

Our Solar PV Glass is integrated in the roof canopy of the new Interactive Center for Environmental Education (Centro Interactivo de Educación Ambiental in Spanish), located in the Residual Water Treatment Plant of the Juan Diaz area, in Panama City.

The installation has a total of 152 m2 and it is composed of 90 units of Crystalline Silicon Photovoltaic Glass with different measures both active and inactive. Each module has a glass configuration of 4T + 4T mm and includes an acid etch treatment on the rear glass

This interactive center has been conceived as a place that will strengthen awareness about caring for the environment among students, communities and visitors in general. This building aims to turn into a space for knowledge and research on environmental issues in Panama and the region. 

 

The CEIA has 3 interactive rooms for 33 people each, a lobby and an auditorium with a capacity of 150 people to carry out different training and education activities related to water, sanitation and environment. It also includes an ecological trail that will allow visitors to take a natural tour of the facilities.
